My lil sis is gone to Paris...

My petite soeur Kelsey, left for Paris this weekend! Kels is setting off to explore her interest in fashion design and haute couture, and where on earth is more perfect for such an experience than Paris? She is attending Parsons Paris for their fashion design course for the month of July. My excitement and envy is mostly the reason I’m blogging about her departure.

That lucky little bitty has been interested in fashion as long as I can remember –  playing dress up as a little girlie to running around in dance costumes to owning over three dozen dresses to her obsession with vintage to her love of fine arts and dance. Her closests are exploding with designer outfits including DVF, Oscar De La Renta, Gucci, Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Juicy Couture (to name a few). Her sketchbook pages are covered in drawings of girls in prom-like dresses, flowing pieces, and ballet-inspired designs. Kels loves anything girly. Dresses are her go-to outfit and loves cute additions; bows, ruffles, poof - you name it. However, she knows how to mix such pieces with clean straight lines and modern elements.

Kelsey is now attending university for Fine Arts, and is hoping to add her Parsons experience to her portfolio and degree. Kelsey’s preferred medium is photography but she excels at everything she does – so she'll probs be kickin it with the likes of any hot hot designer in Vogue or The City or on Garance.

Good luck Kels have fun in Paris. And if you’re really not fitting in remember these three key steps to being “French” (sometimes stereotyping is wayyyy necessary):
  1. Beret
  2. Baguette
  3. Bottle of Red Wine
  4. Cigarettes

Before Kels headed to Paris she spent two days in NYC for some last minute shopping and gallery attending. Here are a few of Kelsey’s wardrobe choices and pics from NYC!

These pretty beaded headbands are a nice last minute touch to any outfit - perfect of Parisian nights out.

Bows and Bows. Two of Kelsey’s many bowed items – apparently Taylor Swift was seen wearing this bow t-shirt.

These are all the items Kelsey is trying to pack into her suitcase, she better leave room for her new Paris purchases!

Girl gone Edgy. This is Kelsey’s day-to-day wear in Paris – love the blazer and the scarf combo!

NYC. Pink art – Kelsey’s favorite. She better live by the quote while in Paris. There are many opportunities to live life to the fullest there… lols

HAVE FUN GIRLIE!
